We are honest about the pricing of our products. A number of costs can’t be precisely accounted for – e.g. design, prototypes, office supplies and utilities – but that isn’t keeping us from letting you know what the costs that can be accounted for are.
Sweatshirt Pieces of Freedom
Pieces of freedom sweatshirt is a part of our Almost Zero Waste collection. Almost Zero Waste is imagined as an ongoing collection of pieces which explore the zero waste approach to design. Pieces of freedom was first made using remaining pieces of fabric after pattern cutting of our Freedom collection, namely our Huggs sweatshirt. By reusing the fabric scraps ourselves we managed to save them from recycling. This sweatshirt is made of 100% organic cotton with soft interior. Due to its 300gr/m2 weight, simple boxy cut and slightly cropped length it is perfect for winter, as well as chilly summer nights.
Slow fashion
What is slow fashion? Slow Fashion is an approach to producing clothing which takes into consideration all aspects of the supply chain. It aims to respect people, the environment, and animals. It also means spending more time on the design process, ensuring that each piece of apparel is quality made. Every Something Else piece is made upon order which helps us prevent overproduction, a big part of today’s fashion industry problem.
Pieces of Freedom sweatshirt is made of GOTS organic cotton
The label Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) ensures the organic status of textiles from the harvesting of the raw materials through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing all the way to labelling. Organic cotton refers to naturally cultivated cotton without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals such as fertilisers or pesticides or transgenic technology. It is our way of minimising negative impact of fashion industry on environment and us as a part of it.
